Bright Health announced that they will not offer Individual and Family health plans in Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Nebraska, North Carolina, Texas, and Tennessee after 2022. Additionally, Medicare Advantage products will only be available in California and Florida starting 2023.
Some important notes:
Individual and family plan coverage will end for patients on December 31, 2022. Written notifications are currently being sent to impacted members.
Bright Health will continue to follow each state’s claim processing rules as they are winding down. However, we recommend claims be submitted by 12/31/2022.
We encourage you to prioritize accounts receivable related to Bright Health.
Payment disputes and appeals must be submitted within 180 days of the original payment explanation.
We encourage you to validate insurance upon every visit. However, it is particularly important to obtain new insurance information for all existing Bright Health patients.
